I work well with students both individually and in group lessons. My special education experience has provided me with an ability to identify where and why students are having difficulty learning. When it comes to teaching or tutoring, I find that it is necessary to craft a pedagogical style that will match the learning style of your student. Each student learns in a different way, whether visually, aurally, kinesthetically, subconsciously, or simply by rote. I find that it is necessary to try each option with all students. I feel that the trouble that many students may have is that they operate differently from the rest of their peers and simply need a different approach to learning material. I find that making the material more interesting is of vast importance as well, and I make learning and retention of information a high priority.

I have a very strong passion for learning and teaching various topics within Biology, such as studying genetics, microbiology, immunology, biochemistry, basic chemistry and basic math.
