A Little Bit About Me...

I currently have five years of teaching experience. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BS degree from the University of South Florida in the fall of 2005. When teaching first grade, I was responsible for educating children ages 6-8 in all of the fundamental areas. I managed to create a loving, encouraging and educationally exciting learning environment for each and every one of my students on a daily basis. I was also responsible for maintaining student portfolios to monitor their academic growth, conferencing with parents weekly via student agendas, parent teacher meetings and through conference phone calls.

I hold two valid professional teaching certificates in Mathematics,Academically Gifted education, and Gifted and talented education for the states of NC and SC. I have been a high school math teacher for 10 years, an adult high school and GED teacher for eight years. I also have over 12 years of tutoring experience in mathematics, science, and reading.
I love teaching and I truly believe that all children can learn, but in their own way. As a UNCP alumnus, I currently hold a BS in Biology. I have tutored peers in the past during my second year at UNCP. Subjects that I am familiar are science and math. I have a lot of experience in the science field. I currently work full-time in a lab using my science degree.
