Children have the ability to learn in a variety of ways. I learn the appropiate way to aide a student in their studies by observing their technique of solving a problem and helping them explore the problem. I show students how to break down the problem in various ways to help them better understand it. Some students need to work with a tutor on several problems; others may need a song or visual representations to help them understand a problem. Sometimes, every type of learning needs to be used to help a students understand. I am patient and understanding of the needs of a students and their tutoring needs.

After my discharge from the Air Force in Australia, while studying for a BA in English & History, I began teaching and tutoring in this field. I was drawn to the Linguistics aspect of my study and after comopleting a BEd degree, I went on to specialize in this subject in my MA. I now speak several languages.
