I am kind of new to teaching. I have taught my little brother everything he knows, and I've been told I have a really good way of teaching. Younger students catch on very quickly to what it is I am teaching. If they don't catch on quick, then no problem. I'm very patient and never give up until a student understands the concept. I am very easy to get along with, so the student will have no problems with me. Altogether I am a very patient smart person eager to help new students learn; and if you want to have fun while learning, then I am the perfect tutor for you.

My comments on tutoring Trumpet : I don't have any specific age groups I prefer to teach. I will teach those who mainly want to start learning the trumpet, but those who want to refine their trumpet skills I can help as well. I have played the trumpet for nearly 12 years and have a lot of experience to share.

People have different forms of learning, so I will learn what the student needs in order to best help them learn the trumpet, whether through audible or visual learning.
I have played the trumpet for nearly 12 years. During this time I've been in many ensembles, such as; Honor Band, Honor Orchestra, the University of the Pacific (UOP) Concert Band, and the UOP Pep Band, as well as other solo performances in churches. This has given me the opportunity to play under different teaching styles which has helped me learn what the best practicing techniques are in bettering ones instrument skills.

As a Graduate of CSU Stanislaus I have a lot of experience with working with children. I have run my own music program with elementary students and had a lot of fun doing it. I have taught music in public education for the last 15 years. I have been involved in church music ministry for over 25 years, and currently am the church pianist in Stockton, Ca. I love working with children of all ages. Math is my second love and I almost majored in math instead of music. Math was always easy for me in school. Although I don't enjoy writing, I am very strong in written English and enjoy proofreading papers.
I strive to include various learning styles when working with children. Some students learn best by listening or writing, while others need movement or tactile experiences to help in comprehension. I believe in keeping students engaged at all times, to minimize wasted time. Every child has potential.
