Need a good Math tutor? Look no further!

I have been a tutor since high school. In HS I tutored for ESL (English as a Second Language). More recently I have been a Math tutor at Augsburg College. I am proficient in the subjects ranging from pre-algebra to calculus 3. I am pretty good with statistics and logic (Discrete Math) as well. I also have experience teaching younger children as well. It is my hope that by helping other people with Math they will learn to like it as much as I do.

Calculus II is one of my top subjects!

I am a sophomore at Washington University in St. Louis studying biomedical engineering. I am a former Princeton Review ACT Teacher. This job taught me how to use the Socratic method to help students discover how to solve problems on their own. I used this experience as an ACT teacher to perfect my tutoring skills. I am currently a Math Mentor for Washington University students. I am looking to expand my tutoring opportunities.
I believe in using the Socratic method. This method is a powerful tutoring device because it allows students to come up with the answers on their own. This is key to developing a full understanding of the material.

As an AFROTC scholarship recipient, I completed a BS in Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics, which gave me a very strong foundation in math, particularly Calculus. I became a pilot for the Air Force and commercial aviation, in flight applying mathematical concepts on a daily basis. Taking a leave of absence, I was asked to teach math at a small private high school. I loved the job and after two years decided to return to school to receive state certification to teach secondary math.
