I have worked for the past 13 years in accounting and management positions. I started in the Master of Education in the Teaching Arts at Mississippi College this past January and recieved by Class A Teacher's License in June of this year. I am certified to teach grades 4-8 in all four of the major subjects: math, science, social studies and language. I am also certified to teach grades 7-12 in the social studies area: US History, government, geography, and world history. Retired Elementary Teacher- 25 years experience!

I am a recently retired elementary teacher with 25 years experience in the public school setting.I taught 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 8th grades. The bulk of my career was spent in 6th grade. I also have several years experience tutoring after school children. In addition, I have completed 9 graduate hours in physical science. I realize that, in order for a student to want to learn, the subject must be presented to them in an interesting way. I know I have the ability to make the subject relative to the child in a way that is both easy-to-understand, yet effective. I am extremely patient, enthuastic, and truly love the subject of English. The idea of helping a child who struggles with English or just doesn't like it in general appeals to me greatly. I honestly believe that every single child has the capability to learn and excel in any subject, when given the right guidance and tools.
