As a graduate student, I tutored 5th graders in Math at Montevallo Elementary School. Through this experience, I learned that all students are different and require different ways and methods of teaching. I began to understand that being “in-tune” with children’s different learning styles was very important to be successful in reaching them. I’ve also tutored a 3rd grade boy in reading for one summer.
