My name is Shawna Conyers

My teaching style is different. I like to teach students in a way that they will understand it. Every student learns differently. I work at the pace that fits there need and teach at there pace. There is no rush.
I was a teaching assistant last year at my old high school in Georgia. I've tutored many student and have helped them pass many subjects. Being an undergraduate at WPI and haven taken several Advanced Placement classes in areas outside of math and science, I consider myself a very well rounded student. I was also strongly considered for a MASH program here at the University, or "Math and Science Help", as a Section Leader/Tutor. Going through a lower-middle class urban high school, I was known as that "smart kid" and would often led study groups outside of class to prepare for tests.
I have struggled with the areas I am not proficient in, so I understand what it is to be frustrated and confused. My teaching style is presenting various approaches to the same idea, in hopes that at least one will click, and better yet, each approach with solidify an idea or concept that much more.
