My teaching style depends on the student. I am comfortable with trying different study methods in order to figure out why my student is having trouble with a particular subject.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. I love being able to help students feel comfortable with the material they are studying. For instance, when I took the initiative of teaching french to my newborn (now a teen), I used to flip and "read" small colorful one-large-drawing-per-page books with a noun written with its article. Afterwards, every so often and when the child is ready, to go up one level of difficulty, I did just that and my child spoke fluently with complete sentences at age 13 months. After a few minutes, I ask them what they think is the best way to approach the problem. If they cannot come up with one, I then guide them through the appropriate thinking pattern in order for them to solve the problem.
