A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is 90 % hands on activities, where I look for ways to connect the hard core topics with the student ,whether it is through their environment, cultural or any topic of interest so the student can relate to the topic and start to familiarize with the topic. Student after that will have to use the concepts ,tools and material of research provided by the teacher to excel or master the topic on his own. Finally ,student and teacher will engage in communicative activities where student will demonstrate master of topic .
During my years of Experience as teacher, I constantly developed ideas to produce class projects that include the environment and culture of students to engage them in the subject. I would say my teaching style is very thorough and repetitive. Repetition is what truly sticks information into student’s minds, despite its annoying tendencies. My middle school class would frequently complain that we had already covered something; but their test scores showed that it paid off in the long run! I am a kinesthetic learner and understand how everyone has different learning styles so I incorporate all styles when teaching a lesson. I include reading, verbal, visual and hands on learning when possible. When learning or teaching math I feel the more problems you can do the better.
After receiving my college education I taught my own visual art curriculum in Western Illinois for two years. Here I worked with Elementary students and High School Students.
