As a music student at SUNY Fredonia, one of the finest institutions for music in the Northeast, I gained a great deal of experience in music, but also in the liberal arts. SUNY Fredonia is an institution that specializes in well-rounded students. I have written several research papers, which have developed my keen knowledge of spelling, grammar, citation requirements, and writing techniques. I have tutored many students in music theory, and have proofread research papers, program notes for many a performance, and have also taught voice lessons extensively, which gives me a great deal of one-on-one experience. As a graduate of one of the top state schools in New York, I have always believed in the importance of education. I have a BA in art studio, 2 years of biology/chemistry, and Calculus I&II, which has given me a well rounded education. I graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2007 from SUNY Brockport with an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education, English and Special Education. I have worked as a substitute teacher in all grade levels and in all subject areas. I have been accepted into a high degree Masters program but feel I need to have a job to justify the repayment(s) of additional student loans that would be needed to finish my MA. I have recently been a four county advocate for people with special needs as the Disabilities Program Navigator. I would still hold this position if funding had not run out.
