My comments on tutoring Spanish : I hold a minor in Spanish and spent 9 months living in a Spanish speaking country.

I received my B.A. in humanities with a minor in Spanish from Buffalo State College in 2009. I studied English, Philosophy and Spanish mostly. I have a lot of experience in writing, critical analysis of literature and basic Spanish. I also hold a TESOL certification from Oxford Seminars. A TESOL certification is an international certification which certifies you to teach English as a second or other language. I have over a year in experience teaching ESL both here in the United States and in South America. I believe I have a good understanding of the technicalities of the English Language and would be ideal for a student struggling with grammar and writing.

During my junior year of undergraduate work, I was contacted by a professor and asked to become an English tutor intern for my fellow students and visiting exchange students from Aichi, Japan. I was told that this hands-on tutoring would also coincide with an upper level English class, a class in which permission of its instructor, the English department and recommendations from other professors were all required. I completed two student teaching placements in mathematics classrooms during my education. I also completed a volunteer experience at Seneca Babcock Preschool where I aided the teacher in helping the children learn colors and numbers. Although I am an engineer by education, I have often found myself in a teaching role of all groups of people.
