A Little Bit About Me...

Teaching and tutoring have been my life's work. Though the majority of my experience is at the college level, I love working with students of all ages. All children have the ability to learn; some need more help than others finding that one pedagogical method that really makes everything "click" for them. I am patient, am able to infuse an element of fun into my tutorials and classes, considerate, and dedicated to my students' success. My main focus on teaching is on understanding the subject and problem solving. I teach them the tools and methods and help them solve the problem independently. In case of very weak students I try my best to go down to their level and teach them. Academic excellence is my top priority. At the end of the day, a students success is what matters to me. I make sure that they perform well.
I was a lectuter in an Indian University, teaching undergraduate courses for Electronics and Communications major. Was a teaching assistant during my Masters in India. When I was doing my MS in Electrical Engineering in Kansas State University I was a teaching assistant. I love tutoring and mentoring. I have enjoyed teaching and have almost 4 yrs of experience.

I have tried to apply a balance of patience and diligence to my teaching. I am always hoping for maximum results but, realize that learning is up to the individual and each person has a different learning experience. My teaching style is one of discipline and at the same time hands-on. Students must feel the relevance of the world around them in order to gain an understanding of what's being taught. I work with the individual but never let the focus off of the competition that's waiting. Students must understand that learning is an every day, every moment experience. It's all about how they see the world around them. I love teaching and working with children. The "aha" moment is what I live for. I believe that EVERY student can achieve what they set their mind to with guidance and persistence.
In a nutshell, I taught high school English for eleven years. I am passionate about all facets of education in the classroom and the real world. I have much to offer my students whether it be a love of literature, grammar and vocabulary or life itself! I love to teach.
