A Little Bit About Me...

As a University of Connecticut graduate, I was very driven by my passion for the sciences. I earned a BS in pathobiology with a minor in molecular and cell biology. I was a well rounded student which has afforded me skills in math, psychology, and English. I have worked as a rowing coach for many years and have the patience and drive to help you reach academic goals.
Teaching comes second nature to me. I believe that all students can learn, but each person requires a different style of instruction in order to fully understand the subject. I understand that children (and adults) have differennt learning styles and try to tailor my approach to the specific needs of the student. The bilingual students I teach have a unique challenge in that the letters of the alphabet represent different sounds in English versus Spanish.
