Creative Writing is one of my top subjects! I graduated with a minor in creative writing from UALR. I won two awards: The Alma K. Daugherty Award for creative writing excellence and the Cooper Award for the best literary contribution of the year. I have also been published in two journals: In My Lifetime and the Equinox.

I am patient but firm. If a student isn't willing to put in a 100% effort then I will not waste my time. I have always gotten exemplary grades from anyone I've tutored. I teach each student differently, some are more visual, or auditory, or hands-on, and I adjust my methods to better benefit my students. Bottom line: I will work hard for you, and I expect you to work hard for you too.
I have always written, and I have always loved doing it. The same goes for reading. I have tutored various class mates through college, and have also worked at a children's enrichment center (I am currently employed there) where I teach basic reading and writing. I am also currently editing a friends novel. I made the Dean's list two years in a row, graduated with the two highest literary awards under my belt, and I have been published in the Equinox and In My Lifetime.

I studied many different theories of learning while in psychology and fundamentally understand what it means to be a teacher. My teaching style allows the student to learn the material as independently as possible and improve their critical thinking skills, by asking the right type of questions and finding the student's best learning style.
