Government is one of my top subjects!

Since graduating from my undergraduate program in 2007, I have had a passion for teaching and learning. My first teaching experience was working in Camden, New Jersey. I served as an intern art teacher for at-risk first through third graders in an after school/summer school program. Shortly thereafter I started my Master's program, where I integrated my passion for teaching into my capstone project. I was given the opportunity to teach at-risk fifth through eighth graders basic life and business skills, which included everything from how to calculate simple interest to how to apply for college. A Little Bit About Me...

The knowledge gained from completing an accounting degree from an accredited accounting program has possessed me with real world function and theoretical application of multiple accounting systems. My education was not limited to material found on a CPA Exam, but was broad in scope covering new fields in forensic's accounting, and old staples of accounting for natural resources such as petroleum. As a former instructor at the University of Arkansas, I am dedicated to furthering the education of others. I taught as the sole instructor for American National Government (ANG) core course for two semesters (60 students each) and was an assistant teacher for one semester in a class of 220. During my two years as a graduate student in the Public Administration, teaching ANG afforded me an amazing experience that was personally rewarding. I am very patient and reassuring to students and wait for them to get the answer on their own when tutoring mathematics. I show them how to do it first, then let them try, and then re-explain. Though I have not had any experience teaching in any school system in the United States, when I was a Peace Corps volunteer in Ukraine I taught both American history and American literature to high school aged students.
