A Little Bit About Me...

As a student at Florida State University, Panama City Campus, I have been learning how to educate and tutor children. I currently tutor two children at my local elementary school that are below level/struggling readers.I have been learning how to teach all five areas(reading, math, social studies, art, science, and language arts) that are part of a child's learning experience. I am very excited to student teach in the Spring of 2011 and start helping children more by tutoring. I have worked as a substitute teacher over the past few years in Washington County and have worked in all the grade levels.
I am a very hands on type person and encourage students to use manipulatives, pictures, or various other visual aids that may help them further understand the concepts that are being mastered.
