I am a recent graduate from the University of Florida from the College of Education with a BA in Elementary Education. I entered the ProTeach program during my junior year at UF. I have been exposed to a lot of teaching strategies and ideas that have been used in the classroom from the past until the present. I had the opportunity to use these practices in actual classrooms by developing lesson plans to teach elementary students. I have written and published articles, and currently am finishing a novel.I have worked one-on-one with autistic children, grades K-5, and am certified in exceptional education and elementary K-6 in Florida. I will graduate from the University of Florida in April 2010 with a BA in Biology, which required me to take up to Calculus 1 as well as Analytical Chemistry and Physiology classes. I have excelled in courses requiring numerical analysis and have experience teaching and tutoring, both in academics and athletics. Over the past 7 years, I have tutored peers in College Algebra, Trigonometry, Biology, Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, and have given horseback riding lessons.
