Economics is one of my top subjects! Earned my bachelors of the sciences 2011 from UWGB specializing in Economics with a minor in Business Administration

4 years in study to complete bachlors of science, one year at UWW and 3 at UWGB. Worked in the Finance industry for a subsidiary of Sally Mae called Arrow Financial Services where i recieved a one year service award as well as multiple account awards. I have studied the Economics of Health care, Geopolitics, History, Demograpic and culture, Industry in a Global Economy and World Trade
Since I, myself have ADHD and therefore have had trouble functioning in the scholastic system. I feel that no matter where the student is starting from, if she/he has a want and drive to learn the material I can help her/him put all the pieces together to gain full understanding of the subject material.

As a student I enjoyed most the teachers who facilitated learning. Teachers who lead students on a road of discovery as they learned, who taught me how to think and not what to think. I model my teaching after the same style I enjoyed as a student. Helping a student discover for themselves the material not only educates them but fosters a passion for the subject at hand. Rote memory has it's place and is essential, but when a student becomes passionate about a subject, then the door is open for them to excel at it. I teach and tutor with the goal in mind to foster that passion, that drive and to be able to carry it throughout a life of learning.

A Little Bit About Me...

While I have not any direct teaching experience, save for helping my children with their homework, I can say that I have patience, an even-tempered demeanor, and the desire to not quit until the student understands the material being covered. My approach would be in the use of practical application of the subject matter.
I have been in accounting and finance since my graduation from UW-Whitewater in 1985. I have worked in public accounting, manufacturing and in non-profit organizations. I believe am would be a good fit teaching high school accounting, college intro to accounting, intro to cost accounting, economics, or intro to finance. Other areas are dependent upon the subject matter. My work experience has also enabled me to be proficient using the MS Office suite, particularly Excel.

A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated from UW-Madison with a Finance degree and my MBA degree with an Investment Management focus at UW-Milwaukee in December of 2009. I tutored for nearly two years while at UW-Madison and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I have current knowledge of financial concepts as I am currently enrolled in school and I believe this current knowledge would be an asset in aiding a student learn some of the financial concepts out there.
The hardest thing about teaching is determining how the individual student learns. I have found that all people learn differently so it is best to understand this process to make the teaching more effective. I like to challenge the individuals I tutor. I believe individuals perform best when they have to work hard for success. At the same time, I am easy-going, amiable and tend to get along with many different types of individuals.
