Throughout high school I was a teacher's assistant helping with students in class during my study halls as well as working one on one with students for extra study skills. A Little Bit About Me...

Teaching is my passion I enjoy seeing the end result, when the student sees what they have accomplished. That is my reward. I understand that people in general usually fall into 1 or more of these learning styles: Visual/Verbal, Visual/ Nonverbal, Tactile/Kinesthetc, or Auditory/Verbal. I personally use the style that best suits my student and work from that point. I earned two bachelor degrees from the University of North Carolina in December of 2007. From there, I chose to move to Massachusetts to participate in a ground breaking fellowship at MATCH Charter Public High School. I chose this alternate route to receiving teaching certification because of the classroom experience it provided me. In addition to earning certification and completing student teaching hours, I tutored for 20-30 hours a week in all subject areas in grades 9, 10, and 11. My favorite subjects to tutor are reading, writing, history, and biology.
