I spent one year tutoring accounting students who had difficulty grasping the basic concepts of accounting. I was able to explain the accounting concepts in different wording than the text books and I also created a "cheat" sheet to help them understand how to handle different accounting transactions. The students I tutored always improved their grades dramatically and quickly. This gave me immense satisfaction! I always strive to make a difference in students' lives.
I graduated from California State University at San Francisco. While there I mastered my major of accounting as well as my minor in economics. I have over ten years' experience in all facets of accounting, audit and taxation. I don't have a wide teaching experience but I do enjoy working and helping Elementary or junior high leveled children. Ay my most recent job, I worked in a dept called 'PLAYLAND" where I was responsible for taking care and keeping the children of our customers entertained and busy as their parent's shopped for groceries. I have also assisted a choir class in high school for kids around my age at the time. I believe I am very good with children and I can show them much support and confidence in themselves with their struggle through their learning. I know I can be trusted and loyal to these students. I teach by taking the student's pace at tasks and help them make ways to learn on their own.

If I could choose one word to represent the way in which I do things it would have to be integrity. I choose this word because it implies a transition from knowing to acting in accordance with one's sense of self as a whole. By bridging the gap between tutor to student I participate in an act of truthfulness which is mutually beneficial. I encourage intelligence, creativity, and development in myself and those around me. I am fun loving and eager to help others. I also have plenty of group-work experience from my communication minor and English comp workshops. While in college my professors often paired me up with the struggling students because of my strong writing skills.
