My comments on tutoring Writing Skills : I am a Historical writer, and can teach techniques on how to increase one's writing abilities. My experience with creative writing is limited, but research and argumentative are my specialties.

I am a Social Studies teacher in the state of Pennsylvania. I graduated from an NCATE accredited university that has a rigorous education program. In that program, I was required to teach elementary students, middle school students, high school students, college students, and adult classes. A Little Bit About Me...

I approach teaching first as a learner; I learn what the student's main concerns are and what goals they have for themselves. Second, I teach and leave room for questions, concerns and confusion. This approach to teaching focuses on the major concerns of the student (or parent)rather than focus on an overarching theme like how to read or how to write. If the student's only concern is how to use a comma, then that will be the focus of the lesson rather than focusing entirely on all grammar.
