Piano is one of my top subjects!

I currently work in a PreK-12 School setting as a Certified School Library Media Specialist. I am responsible for teaching Prek-6th grade library/research lessons. My comments on tutoring Piano : Lessons and tutoring available to beginning and intermediate level students. I have a B.Mus. in Piano from Houghton College and have strong experience with classical music and limited experience with other styles of keyboard playing.

My comments on tutoring Piano : I don't have much experience teaching young children, but I love music and am willing to help any age.

I have helped tutor since I was a freshman in high school. I began working with kindergarteners through third grade students on reading and writing. Throughout my sophomore year of high school I tutored middle school math students (ages 11-14) and helped to train our "Mathalon" team. My junior and senior years of high school I mostly helped biology students prepare for the regents exams, as well as continued in the after school reading program for kindergarteners and preschoolers. In college I began tutoring many students for the spanish regents exam and continued helping others prepare for their biology and chemistry regents exams. Although I have not had the opportunity to officially tutor many college students, I was a Teaching Assistant for BIOL101 and CHEM101 (freshman level chemistry and biology) for SUNY Cortland.
