A Little Bit About Me...

I have been drawn to teaching and working with youth for much of my life. Twenty Three years of varied teaching assignments have given me a wealth of education experiences to draw on. University years found me assisting in public elementary classrooms, The Braille Institute and as a camp counselor. My experience includes elementary classroom teacher and classrooms with Special Education and Special Needs students. Recently, I taught for three years at a hearing impaired school in West Africa. I currently hold a California Substitute Teacher Certificate.
Teaching has been an important part of my life. I believe within a structured learning environment, it is possible to provide an open-ended approach to learning.
