Just after graduation I started to work at an engineering consulting company as a project engineer. This position gave me the opportunity to concentrate in engineering design and project management. On 1998 I joined BP Oil Venezuela as a field engineer, and for ten years I was able to develop mastery skills in managing projects for construction of BP service stations amongst the Country. In 2006 my family and I moved to Houston Texas, and I joined the Houston COmmunity College as a student, and then as a faculty professor for Spanish and math. in 2008 I was able to join the National Oil well Varco training program for field services technicians.

I love to work with children. I had 2 of my own. I believe children can learn if you show them the direct way; as a math or chemistry tutor I use some easy techniques that children can learn and remember by; but basically just show them by examples. I believe that you have to understand the material well then explain to them the easy way to remember. With my experiences and education I can help them pass their class or move up one letter grade

A Little Bit About Me...

I think it takes a lot for one teacher to reach all of types of students who are all at different levels of interest in the subject being taught as well as at different levels of understanding. However, I feel it is the teacher's responsibility to give them all equal opportunity to learn. It is not just about grades and assignments, that is just the means to an end, but it is about learning. In order for the students to learn, the teacher needs to be passionate about the students as well as the subject that is being taught. That will instill in the students a desire to learn and understand.
In having a science background, I have not only learned laboratory skills and reasoning skills, but I have learned how to increase efficiency, communicate in a clear manner, and write in a way that is direct and clear.
