Elementary Math is one of my top subjects! Most preferable.

Session A includes biweekly sessions with two nights to complete assigned homework (up to one page). Session B includes weekly sessions with three nights to complete assigned homework (up to one page).
I want to make this learning journey safe and fun while providing individual attention to the students. I will begin with a placement test and experiment for the first few sessions to see how your child learns best (games, visuals, etc). The sessions will take place in the Ashburn Library for extra supervision and the safety of the children. If allowed by parents, I will provide incentives and treats to motivate the children and lead them to a brighter future.

My comments on tutoring Elementary Math : I am able to tutor all math concepts at the elementary and middle school levels.

I have over of 30 years of progressive experience in tutoring young children in the elementary years of education in all subject matter areas. My specialty is literacy and reading, but I am also adept in teaching all of the math curricula as well. I also firmly believe that teaching organizational skills and proper research methodologies are very important for the classroom today--and every child needs these skills in order to excel in the classroom and survive. I am also a qualified art teacher in the NOVA area.
I believe in tutoring so that the child receives feedback and fully understands his/her own limitations and how to overcome obstacles in class. Many children lack positivity in the methodology! I also believe that using art instruction helps children to learn in a more creative manner.

I discuss in length the whole topic first and then try to ascertain students understanding level on the topic. Then I try to prepare a personalized strategy for each student based on his/her grasping ability. This usually involves teaching those topics again, giving home assignments to students, periodically conducting unit tests and assessing them. I undertake quiz sessions to keep a track on student's progress. I make sure that my class environment turns to be interesting for the students by maintaining a friendly approach.
