I have been teaching since 1990. I spent one year teaching English and Women's Studies at a private high school. At the college and high school level, I have taught dance which includes writing about dance, dance history, arts administration classes and theory classes. I also have extensive experience teaching and tutoring ESL students in the US and abroad.

I have a heavily arts-based education and teaching background. I taught for a year in an inner-city school teaching creative movement and dance technique. I have artist teacher training from the Lincoln Center Institute for Arts in Education and have been in-residence at several schools working with children by using the arts as the window to learn their academic curriculum.
