I know shotcuts in math that really help students to safe time and understand the material. I created my own theory of explaning things that is not writtern in any math book. It is easy to understand for students. The most important thing is to explain math through pictures not formulas. The formulas will be understand automatically after the student understands the picture and concept. I am very patient and ready to explain as long as it takes. Keep it simple!

My very down to earth way of explaining mathematics makes everything clear and concise. I have tutored students who went from hating mathematics courses to performing very well in exams. My comments on tutoring Algebra : I am a high school student and I've taken algebra during my first year. Although, I have not taken the class for years, math is cumulative and the building blocks start in elementary. In school, I consider math as my strongest subject.

Although, I'm still a high school student, I've helped many students in my class with understanding what they were taught. I've been told by a lot of my friends that I should become a teacher. I love teaching, and if it had a higher salary pay, that would be my career choice. I've been helping kids with math before I realized that I was helping them. I love it when they understand it and their face just lights up.
I like to take what they know, help them understand it a little more, then apply it. I walk them through different questions they encounter and then watch them try it for themselves. If they make a mistake, I help them understand what went wrong and how to fix it. I am very hands on and I like to reward them with encouraging comments.
