My first career was as a Registered Professional Nurse (NYS licensure) for 25 years. During those years, I kept up my interest in various fields of math, such as Abstract Algebra, Differential equations, and topology. I was especially interested in algebraically-capable computer math programs. I,eventually, went back to school for my Mathematics degree as part of a long-standing interest in and commitment to Mathematics. I presently teach students who are "at risk" in the 7th through 12th grades and have done so for the last 10-11 years at OHM-BOCES. A Little Bit About Me...

Although my BS degree is in Computer Science, I have taken (and passed!) courses in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Computer Engineering - which means I have learned a lot of advanced math. My work as a software developer required writing "white papers" to explain and describe our software as well as test documents that would allow a person unfamiliar with our software to sit down and formally test it.
