I love seeing children learn and grow. My teaching style is a whole, part, whole approach. I teach the abstract concept and then the practical application. After the application is learned I relate it back to the abstract concept and alternate applications. I encourage mistakes because they are a valuable source of knowledge and learning. I don’t criticize, but am very encouraging and open to the experiences of the pupil in teaching the material. I believe all people are capable of learning and succeeding.

I taught children and young adults for 15 years in the areas of secondary language arts, AP English, and journalism. I have my bachelor's degree in secondary English, Drama, and Journalism, and my master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an Emphasis of Creative Arts in Learning.
