I love to see students grasp a new concept and revisit their work with greater pride and confidence as a result. Realizing we all learn in differing rates and manners, I find great satisfaction in teaching in several ways at the same time (e.g., varying visual and auditory cues, telling stories and providing mnemonic devices). A Little Bit About Me...

I have earned three college degrees, a BA in Urban and Regional Planning,a BA in English Literature and a MA in Natural Resource Sciences. I also have over 25 years of experience as a Senior Planner and as a Planning Director, positions that required me to train and educate a staff of people. I have worked with various government officials and communities in developing schools, community centers, early childhood education centers and numerous other community facilities. I was responsible for writing grant applications which trained me in the art of writing compelling applications that were grammatically correct. I have tutored students in writing and English.
