In 1999-2000, I provided highly individualized, one-on-one instruction in the client's homes while working with a local tutoring company. I am an experienced educator and state certified instructor with impeccable credentials and a heartfelt enthusiasm for teaching. More recently, I have tutored adults participating in an Adult Literacy Program. I assisted them in their GED preparation in Math and helped them set and reach their short-term educational goals. I graduated with my Master's in Chemical Engineering in 1985 and have used that experience and my life experience to excel at the tutoring that I have done over the last 15+ years. With writing skills, I prefer small groups. This makes it more productive for the learners. I teach with many visual examples and I involve the students in the learning process by helping them to realize their own weaknesses. I believe that students do not know what they are doing wrong unless I shows them along the way. Constructive criticism is integral to the process. I believe that quality trumps quantity. It is better for a student to fully understand the idea even if it means covering less material. One well-written paper is better than five papers that have the same mistakes in them.
