I analyzed and processed the water of streams, ponds, creeks and run-offs under the Appomattox River Water Quality Monitoring Program through Longwood University and the Department of Environmental Quality and Environmental Protection Agency closely monitoring levels of Escherichia Coli and heterotrophic bacteria. I truly believe in learning by doing. Being shown the answer never helps anyone. You must go through the process of doing to be confident in your abilities. I try to make the student feel as comfortable as possible with making mistakes. That's the whole point of studying, to improve. This requires a lot of patience and understanding of how the student views the assignment. My most recent rewarding interaction with kids has been been the result of functioning as a mentor for the LC Bird High School robotics team. A Little Bit About Me...

I love teaching high school students and I realize that each student learns in a different style. While some find it easy to learn in the classroom setting, many need individual attention which is where tutors come in. Teachers simply cannot give each student the individual attention that they might need. Also, teachers need to be hands on in their delivery.
