My comments on tutoring Calculus II : Having taken Calculus in high school as well as college with grades of A, I have extensive learning, training and thorough understanding of Calculus I, Calculus II and Calculus III. Similarly, I have self-taught Calculus IV as well. While I was at college, I used to help my friends with their homework, practice and concept development to perform better in their tests. I was consistently the best student. After completing Calculus sequence, I started tutoring the course to junior students at various levels. While Calculus involves a lot of limits, derivatives, integrations, functions, vectors, trigonometry and algebra, it is not limited to only those areas.

Holding a Bachelors of Science degree in Mathematics and Economics, I have knowledge of both Mathematics and its application to Economics as well as other real world situations. In my opinion my teaching would have to be considered unique. Usually I teach math in laymans terms and use analogie that students can relate to. Once the student understands the concepts I can then express the same ideas in the more rigorous mathematical terms. I also teach so that the student becomes active in his or her learning experience. I try to help the student to realize that math is not as difficult as it is made out to be.
