Tutored 2-3 days a week for many elementary school students when I was in high school. Subjects included introductory Spanish, Grammar, Writing, Composition, Writing, Typing skills and techniques, Study skills, and reading. Three years of experience in summer tutoring, helping students prepare for next grade level through workbooks, hands-on activities, and refreshing activities to recall main concepts and skills taught the previous year of school.
I try to get to know what tactics help each student succeed in the best way possible. According to what the student's interests and hobbies are, I create a tutor and study plan specific to them to help them succeed.

I graduated from California State University at San Francisco. While there I mastered my major of accounting as well as my minor in economics. I have over ten years' experience in all facets of accounting, audit and taxation. I have always been an exceptional mathematics student and my chosen field has enabled me to remain very strong in this area.
I spent one year tutoring accounting students who had difficulty grasping the basic concepts of accounting. I was able to explain the accounting concepts in different wording than the text books and I also created a "cheat" sheet to help them understand how to handle different accounting transactions. My undergraduate degree and work experience was in criminal justice. Since retiring from the investigative field I have obtained my Masters in Education specializing in literacy and learning in the content areas. I have been teaching full time in South Korea for the last four years. I started out teaching young learners phonics for one year, English conversation to high school students full time for one year. I graduated Cum Laude from UW-Oshkosh with a BS in Education, Early Childhood – Adolescence, with a Spanish Major and an ESL minor. In teaching, I've completed several diversity hours, students with special needs hours, clinical hours, teaching for Girl Pioneers, two weeks of seminar/teaching in Mexico, tutoring, as well as one semester of full time student teaching.
