A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated from UW-Madison with a BS in Dietetics. In order to obtain this degree, I had to take a wide variety of Science courses including: Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physiology, Anatomy, and many others. Not only am I well versed in Science, I have a background in Math too. In highschool, I completed the AP-Caluculus course with a score that allowed me to bypass any college math courses. However, I have refreshed my math skills since I recently took the Graduate Requisite Exam (GRE) and received high scores in the math section. While I was a student at the College of Menominee Nation I was a tutor in the accounting and math areas. I am also very good with computers. I have been out of school for a few years, but I am always willing to help out anyone who had a question, and If I can help them out it's all the better.
I am not a teacher, but I like to think that I can help out in a way that the student or person I am tutoring will learn. I spent one year tutoring accounting students who had difficulty grasping the basic concepts of accounting. I was able to explain the accounting concepts in different wording than the text books and I also created a "cheat" sheet to help them understand how to handle different accounting transactions. I achieved an English degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where my senior thesis was selected as a finalist for the UW Creative Writing prize. I am passionate about the English language, but I think that writing is becoming a lost art. Quality writers are quality communicators. As writing in general falls into disrepair, those who can write clearly and read critically will have an edge in every institution they enter--from the University, all the way to the workplace.
