I believe in helping people that need help. So in college I began tutoring and started to do a bunch of community service projects. I have two years in tutoring experience. The Friendly Math Guy Next Door

Taught students ranging from 7th to 12th grade in subjects ranging from Pre-Algebra to Pre-Calculus for 2 years in a private school setting as well as after school tutoring in the aforementioned subjects. My other gifts include excellent grammar, vocabulary and reading comprehension skills. I don’t have a teacher’s certificate, however, and am currently choosing not to substitute, but I miss the personal interaction with students who want to learn.
Giving a student the answer does not facilitate their learning. My style of tutoring and teaching is to reinforce the basics, ask leading questions and give examples that assist the student discover the correct answers for him or herself.
