Graduate student looking to help students achieve their goals!

I think teaching styles should differ based on the preferred learning style of the student. The teaching style should play on the strengths and preferences of that particular student. That being said, I foster a student-centered approach to learning. This approach encourages the student play an equal, active role in the learning process, rather than a passive role. A cooperative approach is important so the student can feel like he or she is an active and capable participant in learning the material. I also believe in leading by example and allowing the student to use me as a resource for reviewing their work.

I will only be taking elementary kids as students!

I'll only be taking elementary kids as students, I can tutor/help them with studies for 1/2 hours every weekday.
I am currently enrolled in highschool but I tutored many of my cousins for the past several years so I'm great with young kids! I don't have any proper work experience but I'm hoping this will be my first.I have volunteered at many elementary schools and I can speak fluent Hindi and Bengali. Basic Learning Skills is one of my top subjects! I received homework every day throughout the grades first through 12th. I was compelled to organize my study time to be prepared for the next day at school.

However best the student learns. I believe in "hands-on" whenever this is feasible.
I have limited experience in tutoring. The experiences include tutoring student nurses in the clinical facilities and in the Fundamentals of Nursing. When I worked with the students in the facilities, I would always demonstrate an organized way of assessing a patient from head-to-toe. I would ask a patient to agree to this procedure. I explained exactly what I would be doing. I emphasized that all the clinical students (males and females) would be watching and asking me questions. I would then type up (document) the findings and give each student a copy.
