K-12 and College Tutor

I have tutored K-12 students, as well as college students. I tutor math for K-12 students and business courses and math for college students. I use a variety of teaching styles, until I find out a style that appeals to the student I am working with. Some students are visual, while others are kinesthetic like myself.
I have worked at Pulaski Technical College for 3 years tutoring several math and Science Courses. I love tutoring and enjoy assisting others in the pursuit of knowledge. I worked as a teachers assistant at Pulaski technical college for the head of the Biology department. I held a class that was not required but encouraged by the school to help the students in the biology course prepare for test and answer questions regarding labs. This class took place after the regular scheduled class and lab each week. I graduated with a 4.0 GPA at Pulaski Technical College and will graduate from University of Arkansas at Little Rock in December of 2014.

I started teaching Music in 1984. I taught part-time, temporary while pursuing education goals and working as a professional musician. In 1998 I became an adult educator, and in the following nine years I taught GED, Workforce, Computer and ESL. I learned to speak Spanish from some of my ESL students. Today I run a new program called Bachillerato de las Americas en Arkansas, comprised of curricula obtained from Kingston, Jamaica and Heredia, Costa Rica. I enjoy teaching all age levels.
