I started out tutoring elementary students in basic math and English grammar while I attended college part time in the 1980's. I continued tutoring young students and adults in the 1990's, tutoring Basic Math, Basic and Intermediate Algebra, Basic Geometry, English Composition, Speech, Study Skills and the Sciences. To learn math is to do math. In order to do math or chemistry one must know how to read the subject material. I specifically teach students to read the text allowing them the tools to be able to teach themselves. After the student reads each section (before our session) and takes notes he/she and I will then cover all of the material together and I will address any questions the student might have.
