Creative Writing is one of my top subjects! I am able to tutor students in fiction, nonfiction, and prose poetry. With an MFA in fiction and experience teaching creative writing in the undergraduate classroom, I am well-positioned to tutor students at any level of experience. I have learned extensive grammatical skills as an English Literature Major at the University of Texas. I graduated with a BA in English in 2007. During my undergrad work, I was a preschool teacher. As before, since I do not have classroom teaching experience I'm not exactly sure what my style would be. Initially I feel I should explain that I do not stand a strict method. From the people I have tutored before I have learned that you need to adapt to different situations and different needs. Some students need more regimented discipline such as an outline of everything for every day and others need just a general idea of what is required, etc, etc. I am confident, and proud, in the fact that I can adapt to any situation. I may not have the experience, but I do have the knowledge and I do have the passion.

I have brought 2 learning disabled teens into my home to help them graduate High School. Both have gone on to be Certified Welders.
