Illustrator and visual arts instructor

Hello! I admire all things in the visual arts field and most importantly educating those that are interested or have the desire to enhance their artistic creativity. I am a recent graduate from the VCU arts program, the number one public arts school in the nation. During my time there, as well as after graduation, I have taught a variety of art class to mostly younger age children and early adolescence. I am currently an art instructor at the Loudon arts center, but I have a lot of free time and would love to spend that helping others with the arts.
My goal is not to tell you what to do, but to find your personal solutions with your artwork. As far as teaching digital design, I have worked with Adobe creative suite for five years now and can help you figure out accurate solutions in Photoshop, illustrator, and in design while creating your work.

Dedicated, patient, caring and knowledgeable are all the characteristcs that I would want in a tutor. Those are definitely characteristics that describe me. I have worked with children for the past 12 years in settings from private, public and special needs population. I enjoy working with children and teaching. I believe in providing a positive and comfortable setting for children to learn and in that setting students can reach their full potential.
Over the last 12 years I have taught children in most settings. I also have experience tutoring adults in math. My current job is working with children who have cognitive disabilities and supporting their families. I graduated from Prince George's Community college with an Associate's degree and from Bowie State University with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. I firmly believe ALL children can learn, but not everyone learns in the same way. I do my best to make a positive difference in their lives. I'm very patient and always listen to my students. I give my students tips to help them learn something and get them to repeat information back to me as we work so I know they understand.
