I love teaching chemistry and science classes - I am very patient in teaching and attempt to relate the subject to everyday occurences. I believe that all can learn if given the opportunity and drive - people are afraid of the sciences because of the unknown - I bring the unknown to a common place. In my experience with teaching, I find that the best way to connect and convey the information is to provide aural, visual and experiential exposure to the material. Everyone does not learn at the same pace or through the same exposure to material. It is also important to be perceptive to the possibility of student frustration as this is almost always a road block that will arise and if not identified can lead to lower absorption of the material or complete lack of understanding and drive altogether.

A Little Bit About Me...

I’ve always enjoyed teaching others, whether I was a kid tacking up my pony and giving informal riding lessons or leading fellow undergrad students through the forests surrounding Salisbury University’s field station.
