The University of Delaware has integrated me into the education field with a variety of experiences. I will earn my degree in May of 2011, becoming certified in Elementary Teacher Education and Middle School Social Studies. A Little Bit About Me...

When I graduated with my Bachelor of Science degree in 2002, I accepted a job at a small school in upstate NY that needed a PE teacher. I quickly learned to just relax and "go with the flow" of how the students learned the material and what kind of different activities that we could do to "drive home" the concept of what we were studying. I also learned to be very flexible. I wore many many different hats that first year of teaching which has given me to experience I needed in my recent years of teaching. I am passionate about sports, athletics, history and teaching as a whole!
As I mentioned in the above paragraph, I meet the child where they are in their learning style. I can adapt to how they learn best and then use different activities and tools to again, "drive home" the concept of what the child may be struggling with. I love teaching anything!
