I have experience teaching Integrated Language Arts to eighth grade students using a study skills and novel based curriculum in Philadelphia. I have taught Geometry, Algebra, and Algebra 2 in a co-teaching situation for 7 years. I have taught Geometry several years in summer school in Montgomery County Maryland. I am special ed certified and also meet the No Child left Behind standards in math. I have tutored Math privately as well. Being in an all inclusive setting, I have taught the whole spectrum of students concerning cognitive ability.

The University of Delaware has integrated me into the education field with a variety of experiences. As a healthcare consultant with an associate degree in Management and bachelor degree in Business Administration, I spent much of my time writing, presenting, and educating. My mathematical, grammatical, presentation and writing skills were honed. A Little Bit About Me...

I was a parent volunteer in my children's elementary school for 4 to 5 years. I was a substitute teacher in grades 1 thru 4. I tutuored my two children for two years. I taught summer school to first and second graders, was a teacher's assistant, and worked as a one-on-one tutor in a reading program in the elementary school. I have also mentored students and adults in academic subjects as well as elementary subjects. A Little Bit About Me...

I just graduated with a BA in Psychology and are two courses short of a minor in Spanish and Sociology. I've always been very strong in the English/Language Arts/Writing areas as well. I am currently a certified substitute teacher and also already do some elementary tutoring. Some of my previous tutoring experience include writing, some psychological statistics and some basic math/language skills.
I love to teach and help others in general. I always had difficulty when I was younger finding a tutor or some help in my studies that I could understand easily.
