A Little Bit About Me...

Even before I went to college and earned my B.A., I had already taught two years of ESL in Kachin State, Burma. I came back to the US and earned my degree in East Asian Studies at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. A few months after I graduated I went to the People's Republic of China and taught English as a Second Language from 2003 through 2006. In addition, I have completed all coursework for my M.A. in General Education, however, I have not finished the degree which requires student teaching. I am currently employed as a substitute teacher for two local school districts.
My teaching style depends on the needs of the particular students. I earned my Bachelors of Fine Arts in 2003 and I have taught creative writing, theatre, playwriting, and acting since then. In 2005, I gained my substitute teacher credential and have taught all around Sacramento, substituting for teachers in all subjects. I also write plays and poems. I have always had an interest and talent for teaching kids. I have taught kids from one on one, all the way to audiences of 300.
