A Little Bit About Me...

I have a Ph.D in Chemistry in 2008. I have taught chemistry labs for 4 years in my graduate school. From 1999-2001, I was tutoring students from elementary school up to high school in math and science classes
The experience of teaching students, though complicated at times, was extremely rewarding. I felt a sense of joy when my students understood a concept here and there. I soon realized I was slowly becoming a role model to younger students that were interested in studying chemistry. My experiences as a graduate student and teaching assistant enhanced my curiosity and desire to help young scholars achieve their dreams. I enjoy tutoring. To me, tutoring is the act of putting the finishing touches on what the teacher has already done. I prefer to teach by making connections between the things the student has already learned and using that knowledge to reinforce the weaker points.
