Civil Engineering is one of my top subjects! I am a Structural Engineering major and UC San Diego.

I started tutoring in middle school in the field of math, science and history. When I was in High School I tutored kids for the clubs I was in such as the Spanish Honors Society, Math Club, National Honors Society, and California Scholarship Federation. On top of tutoring kids at my high school I would tutor elementary kids that were taking the high school placement exam on weekends at my high school. Now that I am in college I work in teams of 4 or 5 to help each other learn the engineering material.
I can teach either one to one or multiple kids. I have dealt with both cases and I when I am dealing with multiple kids I try to pair them up by their struggles so that they can overcome the obstacle together. I have been taching at various institutions and have participated in many workshops. In general, each institution has its own method of teaching and I have been following the various methods. However, I do believe that subjects in various areas must be taught in a very simple way so that everybody can easily understand even the difficult and complicated subjects in a class. I think overloading the students (of course in a normal and logical manner) during the class period may be ok but the exams should not be difficult at all and instead be normal and based on fundamentals.
