I am very patient and reassuring to students and wait for them to get the answer on their own when tutoring mathematics. I show them how to do it first, then let them try, and then re-explain. My teaching style is one of discipline and at the same time hands-on. Students must feel the relevance of the world around them in order to gain an understanding of what's being taught. I work with the individual but never let the focus off of the competition that's waiting. Students must understand that learning is an every day, every moment experience. I graduated from Henderson State University with a BA degree in sociology and since then I have worked in residential treatment facilities as a therapist, a teacher, and tutor or councelor.
