I love teaching and working with students of all ages. I have tutored students from various background and abilities. I believe in students being active participants in their learning process through the use of hands-on activities and discovery lessons. My desire is to change student perception of math and create a welcoming learning environment for all of my students.
I have always wanted to be a teacher and share my love and understanding of mathematics with everyone. In May of 2000, I was inducted into the National Mathematics Honor Society. I have taught high school math for eight years. The courses I taught ranged from basic Algebra 1 all the way to AP Calculus. I have tutored fellow classmates in the past throughtout middle school and high school. Although I am not certified to teach, I have taken quite a few teaching curriculum courses while attending North Carolina State University.
